Few SUVs are as iconic as the Ford Bronco. Out of production since the mid-90's, the Ford Bronco is making a comeback after plenty of popular demand over the years. And while some specifics are still unclear, we're starting to learn more about the upcoming 2020 Ford Bronco, and we have a lot to be very excited about.

Ford has been careful to keep some specifics about the new 2020 Ford Bronco under wraps, but what we have learned so far gives us plenty of confidence that Ford is fully committed to properly reviving the Bronco nameplate, which left production back in 1996.

One thing is absolutely certain: the 2020 Bronco will be a body-on-frame 4x4 crafted to tackle some seriously difficult terrain. Sharing the frame as the Ford Ranger pickup, the 2020 Bronco will sport an aluminum body and a body profile that pays tribute to the classic Bronco that so many enthusiasts love so well.

Additionally, it seems that portions of the Bronco's body might be removable, including doors and roof panels, though this will remain speculation for now.

Official performance specs have yet to be released by Ford for the new Bronco, but a look under the hood of the Ford F-150 Raptor and elsewhere gives a good idea of what to expect from the Bronco. It will likely feature a 2.3-liter EcoBoost, which makes a potent 270 horsepower in the Ranger. We might also expect a hybrid Bronco as well as a robust V8 variant.

Ford has announced that the all-new 2020 Bronco will be produced in the US at the Wayne, Michigan plant-the same plant at which the new Ranger is being made. And thankfully, the 2020 Bronco is slated to make its official debut in spring 2020, so we don't have much longer to wait to get behind the wheel of this reborn legend.
